Learning from Flannery O'Connor

In this special series of classes, we'll do close readings of work by a single author in order to explore how each one works her particular brand of literary magic. What decisions does she make in crafting specific stories? What are the choices that add up to a recognizable voice and style? After discussing the assigned readings (provided prior to the class date), we'll do some in-class writing that will open up new possibilities for our own work by modeling what we've seen our mentors do on the page.

Want to nominate a certain author for a future Mentors Series class? Write us at hello@porchtn.org.
