Deadline for Nashville Reads Poetry Contest

In James McBride’s The Color of Water, the voices of a mother and son are interwoven, ultimately illuminating each of their memories, values, and identities. Write a poem mirroring this style in which a parent and child reveal not only elements of story but also of meaning and identity. Open to teens and adults.  Prizes will be awarded in two categories:

  • Adults
