In this hands-on workshop for kidlit authors, you'll learn the nuts and bolts of creating a solid proposal. You'll discover all the moving parts of a proposal that will knock the socks off agents and editors alike. We'll even have time to revise and create a proposal together. Come as you are – even if you have a blank page – there's something for everyone who wants to learn how to write a solid kidlit proposal.

Tonya Abari is a multigenre storyteller, author, freelance editor, and book reviewer for children and adults. Her words and reviews can be found in Publishers Weekly, USA Today, Good Housekeeping, ZORA, and many more! One of "sixteen, creative, rising voices," Abari is a 2021 We Need Diverse Books Picture Book Mentee. She has forthcoming multigenre children’s book projects with Innovation Press, NatGeo Kids, Mudpuppy Books, and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.
