Whether you’re new to fiction writing or want to recharge your writing practice, this class will help you generate new work. Together we’ll explore the building blocks of prose fiction, taking an up-close look at characterization, setting, structure, dialogue, point of view, and imagery. We’ll read and discuss published stories to dissect these craft elements and learn how they combine to form a strong narrative. Weekly writing exercises and activities will allow you to experiment and develop your own work in a supportive environment.
