"I'm not a storyteller, but I want to be."

"I've got stories, but I don't know how to tell them."

If you have said either of those two statements (or something around the edges), this is the class for you. You will explore the fundamentals of story: What is it? Why do we tell stories? Why do they work? You will create a list of some of your most interesting and meaningful stories, learn the building blocks of effective storytelling, and even do some hands-on story crafting. This course is for beginners, or for those more seasoned storytellers who want to return to the basics. It will be fun, interactive, and practical. Your facilitator is Michael McRay, host of Tenx9 Nashville Storytelling, which has seen nearly 800 stories told live on stage over 8 years. He works with people around the world to find, develop, and capture their stories. And over these four weeks, he'll guide you too.

Michael T. McRay is a facilitator, consultant, and coach. He is the former producer and host of the popular storytelling series Tenx9 Nashville Storytelling and a Master Practitioner with Narrative 4. Michael is the author of the award-winning I Am Not Your Enemy, as well as other titles. He currently lives in California's Bay Area.
