What’s it like to live in your body? We’ll read work about, by, and for different body sizes including fat-identifying writers. Topics may include diet culture, eating disorders, sex, weight stigma, body image, childhood bullying about being fat, awkward teen years, and the joys, sorrow, fun and shame of living in our bodies. Participants will have the opportunity to write into their own lived experiences while building empathy for others.

Note: Fat used as a neutral descriptor; all bodies are welcome.

Christina Berke is a writer and educator based in Los Angeles with an MFA in Nonfiction Creative Writing. Publications include Teen Vogue, Catapult, NPR, and elsewhere.
