Get Started/Get Unstuck with Nashville Black Storytellers

At this in-person meetup, Nashville Black Storytellers (NBS) participants will discuss how to get started or get unstuck with a routine writing practice. Whether you're a freelance journalist or a published author, come enjoy this interactive learning opportunity, light refreshments, and the chance to connect with other NBS creatives. Open to any writer that identifies as Black within the diaspora, this meetup will be hosted by Tonya Abari, freelance writer, author, and teaching artist at The Porch.

*Prior NBS meetup participation is not required to attend this gathering.

Tonya Abari is a multigenre storyteller, author, freelance editor, and book reviewer for children and adults. One of "sixteen, creative, rising voices," Abari is a 2021 We Need Diverse Books Picture Book Mentee.
