The Drafting Den is an energizing gathering place for writers of all genres who are looking to kick-start new projects, break through writer's block, or cultivate fresh ideas in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Unlike our Draft Chats, which focus on refining existing pieces, the Drafting Den invites participants to engage in guided prompts and creative exercises designed to inspire the beginning stages of writing. Over the course of two hours, writers will have the opportunity to dive into spontaneous writing sessions, explore diverse themes, and perhaps even discover the seeds of their next great story, poem, or essay.
No preparation required—just show up with your favorite writing tools and an open mind!
Josh Inocalla writes plays and screenplays, and works part-time at a university alongside his career as an actor and writer. He began teaching martial arts at 14 years-old and loves facilitating practical, hands-on ways of learning. Josh is an active member of the Nashville AAPI Writers Group, and he debuted his short play, "Quest for Protection," at the inaugural Nashville AAPI Writers Showcase. He is from Vancouver, Canada.
