Longtime book editor Ami McConnell knows that writing takes grit, skill, and faith. "I'm still in awe of writers," she says. "What you do is courageous. Transforming ideas into words on a page is nothing short of a miracle."
Once that miracle has taken shape, the next stage can feel daunting: the edit. But McConnell believes editing is, at its heart, an act of love. When author and reader step into a covenant of empowered vulnerability, a new kind of miracle happens.
In this class, McConnell will share an editor’s point of view on the creative process. Writers will be invited to rethink conventional ideas about editing and to see how it can be both satisfying and freeing, allowing your writing to become all that it can be.
