With the vital support of our community, in eight years The Porch has become one of the largest literary arts organizations in the Southeast. But there’s still much work to be done. The Porch strives to be inclusive and accessible, to inspire stories, and to build community. Your dollars help us increase scholarships, fund visiting writers, grow youth programs, provide free workshops for immigrants and refugees, and serve aspiring writers in middle Tennessee and beyond.
The Porch Fund for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Writers, established in 2020, provides financial support for those wishing to take part in our classes. We invite you to join the Porch staff and board in seeding this fund. You may donate below or via Venmo at @PorchTN--please include a note that says your donation is for the BIPOC Fund.
The purchase of specialty license plates helped provide over $5 million in grants each year the Tennessee Arts Commission made to over 700 organizations statewide. To show your support for the arts, please consider purchasing a plate.
