When creating compelling characters in fiction, it’s vital to know their strengths, weaknesses, and internal struggles. The Enneagram is a personality theory that describes nine different personality types and the unique motivations, core desires, and fears of each. When writers assign an Enneagram type for each character, they can save hours of planning time while also adding emotional depth and believability to their story. In this workshop, the nine personality types will be described in easy-to-understand terms, with guidance on how to mix and match different Enneagram types to create interesting story conflict and dynamics.
