In “The Traveling Onion” Naomi Shihab Nye, who encourages daily writing, says, “For the sake of others, disappear.” By writing we can let go of fraught versions of self and reappear anew. This generative class will focus on the practice of returning to the page to find the attention, inner quiet, wonder, and receptivity of our “hidden self”. In our challenging world, this approach to writing deepens our sense of joy and connection, opening us to new ways of knowing ourselves, others, and life.
