This meetup is designed as a supportive space centering LGBTQ+ writers, in any genre! We'll get to know each other, work through a multi-stage writing prompt, and have the option to share our work. We'll also leave time to discuss a short reading in class, and talk through our current projects and goals.

Jarred Johnson, AKA JJ, grew up in the karst landscape of south-central Kentucky. He got his MFA in fiction from UNC Wilmington. He writes about rural people and forgotten places. His writing has been in the Oxford American and Bat City Review. He’s working on a novel about the metaverse and the end of coal mining.
