Neurodivergent Writing Circle

Saturday

Sep 19
-
1:00 - 3:00pm
-
The Porch House at 2811 Dogwood Pl., Nashville, TN 37204

The Porch's Neurodivergent Writing Circle is a space for writers identifying as Neurodivergent to create, revise, play and celebrate. With each others company the ideas will flow and spark any number of versions of communication. We'll then support those ideas by helping one another find its path to the page. Hyperfocusing, moving around as needed, snacking and stimming are encouraged. All genres and levels of writing experience are welcome! Moderated by Porch instructor Nathan Spoon.

Upcoming Meetups:

  • Saturday, September 19, 1-3pm
  • Saturday, October 17, 1-3pm
  • Saturday, November 21, 1-3pm

Nathan Spoon is an autistic poet and author of The Importance of Being Feeble-Minded (Nine Mile Books, 2025). His poems and essays have appeared in American Poetry Review, Gulf Coast, Poetry, Poetry Daily, The Southern Review, swamp pink, and elsewhere. Nathan currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

Note: The Porch charges a $5 fee for non-members (and free for members) to help sustain Affinity Group programs, continue compensating instructors, and keep offering low-cost, high-quality programming. If this fee is a barrier for you, please apply to our tuition assistance form to request a waiver. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to offer low-cost programming.
