Romance Writers Meetup

Sunday

Oct 4
-
3:00 - 4:30PM CT
-
Bordeaux Branch Public Library // 4000 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, TN 37218

Join us for a laid-back afternoon of inspiration and connection with fellow romance writers! Whether you're crafting swoon-worthy love stories, steamy page-turners, or heartfelt emotional journeys, these meetups provide a welcoming space for romance writers of all stages and experience levels. We'll share tips, discuss challenges, and dive into the unique elements of writing romance—from creating compelling characters and dynamic tension to navigating the ever-evolving publishing world. Bring your ideas, questions, and enthusiasm, and leave with new insights and fresh inspiration for your next love story.

Upcoming Meetups:

  • October 4, 2026 at 3:00-4:30pm (Bordeaux Library Branch)
  • December 6, 2026

Romance Writers meetups are facilitated by Porch instructor Sara Holifield. Sara Holifield writes under the pen name Avalon Griffin and is the author of the paranormal fantasy romance Unbound by Shadows. When not writing, she can be found traveling the globe in search of kitschy roadside attractions, off-beat museums, and cryptozoology legends. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband and a crew of formerly feral cats.

Please Note: These affinity group meetups are $5 for not-yet-members and free for members to attend. Starting in July 2026, the Porch will start to charge a $5 fee for non-members (and free for members) to help sustain this program, continue compensating instructors, and keep offering low-cost, high-quality programming. If this fee is a barrier for you, please apply to our tuition assistance form to request a waiver. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to offer low-cost programming.
