Tuesday

8:00 - 9:30pm
-
The Porch House at 2811 Dogwood Pl., Nashville, TN 37204

Join us for an inspiring Open Mic Night, the grand finale of Write-a-Thon, where the magic of storytelling comes to life under the stars in The Porch’s backyard. This special evening is free and open to everyone, offering a platform for a wide array of stories, poems, and performances from a diverse group of voices.

While Write-a-Thon participants have priority, we warmly invite writers of all levels and genres to sign up. Come for the stories; stay for the drinks, refreshments, and the warm camaraderie of fellow writers. Whether you’re stepping up to the mic or supporting from the audience, let's celebrate an evening of community and creativity together.

About Write-a-Thon

This September, join us for a month-long writing challenge that not only strengthens your writing habit but also supports a great cause: scholarships for future classes at The Porch!

Set a writing goal, whether it's writing 30 pages, 30 hours, or 30 poems… or come up with your own personal target. Throughout the month, you can track your progress, share wins, and get support from fellow writers. Plus, you’ll have the option to meet in person on Tuesday nights for dedicated writing time (with prompts and encouragement from your fellow writers). If you can’t make it in person, join our digital space where writers from all over can share prompts, progress, writing nooks, and offer brags and encouragement along the way.

While you’re focused on your writing goals, your registration fee of $30 (with sliding scale options) will help fund scholarships for writers like you, making The Porch’s future classes accessible to everyone. This year, we’re aiming to raise $5,000 through this Write-a-Thon, and we need YOU to help us get there. Write your heart out! Your participation will make a difference.
