Immortal beings, shocking murders, friendships tested on the lip of a volcano — fantasy has always embraced the extreme. Since long before Game of Thrones, the genre has pushed the limits of imagination and emotion in a way that, for many of us, unlocked the true power of storytelling. In this single-session, prompt-driven course, learn how to tap into your story's potential and turn clunky ideas into something as light as a feather and as hard as dragon scales. Together, we’ll explore the core elements that define fantasy, dive into a guided writing prompt, and develop a deeper understanding of how fantasy narratives create magic from the mundane — and help us see our own world more clearly through the lens of delightful exaggeration.
