This class is focused on reading, understanding, and finally trying to write our own sonnets. In particular, we'll have an overview of how the form has come into, and changed within, the English language, and how we now treat the sonnet in the 21st century. We'll do some reading of sonnets, practice techniques, and work toward putting these techniques together in original compositions.
• In-Class Writing Lift: Medium
• Homework: None
• Workshopping Drafts: Optional
