In this 8-week workshop, writers will spend time generating new material, discussing craft and responding to pertinent texts (films, essays, books / book chapters / excerpts, etc). Every class meeting will include opportunities to write, experiment, ask questions, and receive thoughtful feedback in a supportive environment.Rather than following a rigid formula, this workshop encourages experimentation, creative risk-taking, and discovering the approach that best serves your story. Writers of all experience levels are welcome.

JR Robles is an actor, writer, and filmmaker based in Nashville, TN. Lately, he has been writing about heartbreak, fatherhood, body image, and pie, among other topics. He is a recent Porch Prize finalist, Oz Arts Art Wire Writing Fellow, and Breaking Waves Theater Company Writing Fellow. He is also co-producer of the Dare to Fail Short Film Showcase.
