Discover the essentials of character-driven fiction in this four-week workshop. We will delve into the intricacies of storytelling that transcend genre boundaries, focusing on the art of creating compelling characters. Throughout our sessions, we will analyze multiple works from a range of authors. Engage in tailored, generative writing exercises designed to unearth the depth and complexity of your characters.

Each week, we will immerse ourselves in various short stories, flash fiction, and novel excerpts, unraveling the ways characters are developed and intertwined with plot and setting. By the end of our journey, you will grasp and apply the nuances that define character-driven fiction in your own final project, where characters stand as the focal point. As a workshop, we will discuss the techniques you used to craft characters that captivate readers.

Join us for an insightful exploration into the soul of storytelling!
